Compensation Information: $146,071.00 - $182,588.00 annually.
The compensation range reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting. We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program.
Position Summary:
The Market Director, Spirits is essential to RBG’s Spirits portfolio success through partnering with key spirits suppliers to build and execute market specific business plans to support overall RBG and supplier priorities and plans. Additionally, the Market Director will be accountable for leading a team of Account Development Specialists in partnering with local supplier representatives, RBG leadership, and key customers in two or more assigned geographies to build capability and execute plans.
This position will oversee our locations in the Southern California and Los Angeles market. The candidate can sit in any of our facilities within our Southern California market.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Responsible for customizing, maintaining, and executing annual, quarterly, and monthly business plans.
Staff, lead, and develop a team of Account Development Specialists.
Develop and maintain relationships with operations leaders at key influential on-premise and off-premise chains in multiple markets.
Customize spirits programs standards for assigned markets.
Partner with supplier market managers to drive effective collaboration with RBG frontline leadership.
Ensure execution of committed targets in distribution, menu placements, promotions, drink features, and back bar placements.
Function as a market spirits expert in education and training.
Interact with supplier leadership to prioritize and troubleshoot market activities.
Complete all required training to improve performance and effectiveness.
Maintain a high level of industry knowledge in spirits, food journals, trends, market share, etc.
Create opportunities and develop programs appropriate to customer base.
Increase net core brand distribution over baseline throughout the year.
Accountable for sales and distribution goal accomplishment in assigned markets through execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans and company initiatives.
Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities for development, training, and performance improvement.
Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8-10+ years of industry experience in related sales, plus 6+ years of supervisory experience; or High school diploma or GED and minimum of 12+ years of industry experience in related sales plus 7+ years of supervisory experience.
Ability to communicate with customers, management and co-workers.
Strong leadership capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation skills either one on one or in a group setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be 21 years of age.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance with at least the minimum state required coverage levels.
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Master’s degree.
