OVERVIEW:
Stover & Company is a family owned business that’s been operating in bakery & confectionery wholesale distribution for 75 years. Not only do we supply all of your favorite Pittsburgh bakeries with the ingredients they need to create delicious treats, we also have an extensive ecommerce platform that allows customers from all over the world to shop industry quality products.

We’re looking for a well organized & detail-driven creative to join our small, tight-knit team to help support our growing marketing, ecommerce & product development efforts. This role requires strong graphic design skills with extensive experience with Adobe programs (most notably InDesign). The ideal candidate will possess values of hard work, integrity & self motivation. This is a fast paced role, so the candidate must be able to prioritize & manage multiple tasks, manage time efficiently & meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the liaison between the Marketing, Production & Sales Teams by providing efficient communication & operational support with a focus on in-house graphic design & asset management.

  • Follow brand guidelines to create &/or update company documents, product labels, custom packaging materials & more using InDesign.
  • Develop a proper production checklist to monitor all incoming artwork for own brand, private label & co-packing POs.
  • Ensure all externally produced artwork meets company & certification standards.
  • Request & process final artwork, review & make requested changes to proofs, send proofs to customers for review & obtain final approval.
  • Organize & maintain all final assets internally.
  • Provide a strong attention to detail & accuracy to daily tasks, as well as any assigned special projects.
  • Exercise independent judgment & demonstrate solid time management & organizational skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Oversee eCommerce catalog, product integration, product promotions, coupon codes & so on.
  • Create excitement around new brands & products by developing new ideas to advance brand exposure.
  • Assist with website, social updates & retouching as needed.
  • Support with communication of new products, major announcements, new programs/campaigns, etc.
  • Communicate with external vendors as required– printers, design agencies, suppliers, website developers, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; specifically InDesign, Photoshop, & Illustrator
  • Familiarity with Google Workplace (G Suite) Programs (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc)
  • 2+ year college degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or Communications (or equivalent work experience)
  • Strong organizational & communication skills (writing/editing/proofreading) with the ability to efficiently interact with internal team members, outside vendors, sales force & customers as needed
  • Must be able to prioritize & manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines & manage time efficiently in our fast-paced work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with logo animation & video editing
  • Ambitious personality, constant curiosity & innovative mindset
  • Retail &/or ecommerce experience
  • Experience in creating efficient processes
  • A demonstrated interest in baking & confectionery

SALARY & BENEFITS:

  • Salary starts at $40,000, depending on experience

NOTES:

This position is an on-site role located in Monroeville/Plum, PA. This is NOT a remote position. The candidate will be required to be in the office M-F 7:30am-3:30pm with available PTO & flex time for appointments. Relocation costs will not be covered by the company.
