Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Position Purpose : The Marketing Specialist will be integral to SMS’ continued success and vision to empower healthcare decisions. As a Marketing Specialist with SMS, you will gain invaluable experience across consumer, healthcare, and corporate marketing and branding through partnership with the SMS Marketing and SCA Health Enterprise Marketing teams. This role works closely with SMS Marketing and Business Development (BD) teams along with SMS leadership to support verbal and visual brand expressions for SMS across business development and sales support activities across multiple channels, including but not limited to, email communications, presentations, graphic, and information design that leverage your strong writing skills in efforts to advance and increase SMS’ client base and engagement interactions with prospective new employer partnership opportunities for SMS.

Roles and Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing, and collaborating daily with the Sr. Marketing Specialist, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for the following:
- Assist in the coordination, creation, and trafficking of marketing/digital content visuals and asset deliverables for online/offline marketing requirements.
- Work with key stakeholders across SMS BD teams, and business partners: SCA, UHC/Optum, as well as legal/brand to secure necessary approvals/edits of SMS materials.
- Support implementation, production, and execution of all SMS assigned Client Success and Business Development marketing priorities.
- Provide editorial support on SMS content creation and curation of BD requirements and provide any necessary proofing support for release of final approved marketing materials.
- Undertake daily administrative tasks to assist, monitor, and or conduct market research and reporting needs in coordination of all SMS BD related assigned marketing activities.
- Maintain and support updates on BD competitive and market analysis
- Develop, compose, and post, in partnership with SMS Marketing Specialists, online content on the SMS website, in email, and social media accounts (includes copy and graphics)

- Proven experience as a marketing assistant, Specialist, or related business development support work experience
- Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of general marketing principles
- Ability to work independently, multitask and perform in a deadline-sensitive environment
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented service approach
- Sets high expectations of self and work; self-motivated and resourceful
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with core leadership teams, management, teammates, and peers
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Qualifications:
- Entry Level position with an associate or bachelor’s (preferred) degree in Marketing, Advertising or Business-related field of study (Or equivalent work experience)
- Marketing automation and CRM knowledge or experience a plus (Salesforce, Salescloud, Pardot, Campaign Monitor, WordPress)
- Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, and Illustrator and some experience with Microsoft Office suite (Power Point preferred)
