The Master Planner will focus on creating supply plans for the 3-36 month horizon. This is a hands-on position responsible for owning the mid to long-term supply plan that will effectively and efficiently support the forecasted demand. Collaboration with other members of the Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and Customer Service is critical to achieve the inventory, cost, and service objectives. This position will require close communication with manufacturing regarding manpower/equipment requirements and related assumptions, as well as with the commercial organization on any supply issues.

You Will Have the Opportunity To:

  • Manage the production plan that balances production resources, supports customer requirements and meets company inventory objectives through the 3-36 month horizon.
  • Facilitate aspects of the Monthly Supply Review Meetings.
  • Ownership of the SAP IBP supply planning tool, including key master data, to drive the aggregate planning process as well as leading and training others on the IBP tool and supply planning processes.
  • Communicate with sales and operations to highlight demand changes and or supply changes or constraints.
  • Create new and manage existing supply chain KPI reports and automation initiatives.
  • Cross-train on production scheduling activities and supply chain manager on casting plans and earned hours forecasting process to serve as backup.
  • Act as a change leader to proactively resolve supply/demand differences and inventory imbalances as efficiently and effectively as possible. Escalate and communicate any unresolved supply constraints.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree specific to Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Production Planning experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing SAP or related ERP Software. Must be proficient and have strong hands-on experience and knowledge using Production Planning, Capacity Planning and MRP modules. Experience with SAP IBP a plus.
  • Advanced skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Tableau a plus.
  • 10% travel required
  • ASCM CPIM/CIRM/CSCP certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Proven track record of successful development and implementation of innovative ideas with demonstrated business results.
  • Promote the development, enhancement and use of SCM tools and techniques that will improve organizational effectiveness and create economic value.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
