Role Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing the shipping schedules as required by the Customer. Must determine the most efficient and economic production plan and capacity plan with lead time requirements and expected manufacturing needs. This position must thoroughly understand and advise on managing short/long term capacities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a representative of AIM Systems to all Tier customers developing long-term, and mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Maintain desirable deliver rating score for division for each customer. Implement corrective action plans to prevent impact to delivery rating scores.
  • Review, maintain and reconcile customer and accums. Identify and resolve all customer issues.
  • Enter all customer returns in the system. Track accordingly.
  • Assist in managing transportation logistics for outbound freight. Monitor and log all shipping and system issues.
  • Continuously examine the supply chain network in order to identify opportunities to reduce on-hand inventory, decrease logistics costs, increase number of inventory turns, and improve the overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Assist and back-up for customer systems (SMART, DDL, IMS, CMMS, Covisint, etc.).
  • Assist in writing and enforcing work instructions and procedures.
  • Coordinate customer engineering changes and facilitate minimal obsolescence impact.
  • Maintain and update BOMs for new part or current part setups
  • Track and manage the accuracy and effectiveness of the master schedules to work through adjustments to forecast and to continuously improve the overall master scheduling process

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Oversee the master schedules and ensure comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing
  • Drive inventory improvement efforts for raw materials, finished goods and component inventories which meet both customer service needs as well as meeting goal objectives
  • Publish forecasting reports to prepare and analyze production data. Review capacity constraints to allocate plant resources effectively
  • Review daily production and backlog information to control “overload” or “past due” situations while communicating and measure realistic production requirements to support Customer demand
  • Update yearly MMOG submissions and upload score results as required by customer


Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automotive plant environment is required.
  • Experiences with OEM portals.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in EDI, MS Windows, Internet and Lotus Notes (or a comparable email system).
  • Experience with a fully integrated manufacturing software package is required (Trans4m-Infor/Agilisys/Brain a plus).
  • Must maintain excellent written and oral communication skills when working with customers, suppliers and the entire organizational team.
  • Must be very detailed oriented.
  • Knowledge of TS16949 and ISO requirements a plus.

Physical Job Requirements:
 This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while sitting, standing, or walking a minimum of six (6) hours a day and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
