Summary:
The Material Handler – Load Prep is responsible for the safe and accurate load prep of finished goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Obtains customer load orders from the Shipping Office.
2. Puts together skids for parts ordered by customer, places appropriate paperwork on each tote or skid as required.
3. Bands and/or wraps skid as required by the customer.
4. Maintains parts tagging accuracy for pieces used in Tag Tracking.
5. Places loads in appropriate load staging area.
6. Monitors inventory levels and communicates any concerns to Customer Service.
7. Responsible for keeping work area and storage shelving clean and organized.
8. Assists in cycle counting and inventory when needed.
Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and support of all safety programs
Must be able to communicate effectively and function with a minimum of supervision.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
A complete understanding of tags and paperwork flow through the plant is preferred.
RF Scanner experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Tow motor license
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to position or move; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 lbs. frequently lift and / or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
