Material Master Non-SAP Systems Analyst
The position is part of the Material Master Data team working collaboratively with the board mills, Non-SAP plants, operations, and sales and operational support teams to create and govern materials created outside of SAP.
Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
- Drive cross functional improvement, data migration and cross system alignment projects for Non-SAP converting materials data management
- Partner with other departments on projects involving material master creation and data governance
- Work collaboratively with Sales and Operational Support, GPI manufacturing, and Material Master on internal and external specifications and material creation
- Lead M&A and system conversion master data integration projects
- “Gate Keeper” in maintaining consistency, uniformity & accuracy of material master data elements
- Develop an understanding of material master data impact to business processes by working with cross functional teams, global MDM team members, and stakeholders
- Influence the material master process for Non-SAP facilities without direct ownership of the material master process in Non-SAP facilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of master data processes in both SAP and Non-SAP systems
- Develop a thorough understanding of data lineage and touch points across Non-SAP, SAP, data lakes, and reporting systems – identify synergies, harmonization in data capture to streamline processes
- Create and maintain work instructions and/or technical data on all facets of master data mapping and/or SAP go-live
- Identify and document functional requirements for projects that would reduce cycle time or increase accuracy via automation
- Demonstrate safety first mindset and practices
- Other master data projects as assigned
Ideally the individual that would be a strong fit for this position would have some of the following knowledge/skills/abilities;
- Advanced knowledge of paperboard substrates, carton design, material master data management
- Prior demonstrated experience working with board production and/or folding carton machine operations
- Advanced knowledge of ERP Systems
- High Level knowledge of SAP material master data proficiency in T-box, Radius, Panther, or other GPI Non-SAP ERP’s etc. preferred
- Knowledge of SAP Info Steward and other master data technologies a plus
- LEAN / Six Sigma education and experience preferred
- Solid Computer Skills – ie. Advanced excel skills, experience with Share Point – must be able to efficiently work with large data sets from multiple sources to address data quality issues

Job Requirements:
- 5 years master data, packaging industry experience, or related field
- Self-directed motivation to continuously improve master data to support key strategic business initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills across multiple levels of team members
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
- Very high level of focus and attention to Safety, Quality, and Productivity expectations and requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, meet short deadlines to meet long range goals
- Proven skills in collaboration and partnering across functions and levels
- Ability to work independently while supporting team goals and objectives
- Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Ability to apply initiative and exercise good judgment when making timely decisions based on data, facts, and experience
