Position: Mechanic II
General Description: Will perform task in mechanical and hydraulic maintenance and repair work on all equipment associated with underground coal mine.
Requirements: High School Diploma/GED. Technical degree in electrical or comparable experience. 1 year minimum experience in the mining industry. MSHA underground electrical certification.
Ability to follow specific instructions and follow safety protocols. Established standards of work performance. Must be open for various shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and hydraulic repairs of underground mining equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and complete reports and records as required.
- Document work as required in SAP and other applicable systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and follow maintenance manual and parts books to set up and perform tasks.
- Ensures all activities are carried out with full consideration for the safety of all employees.
- Conducts all other tasks as assigned.
Wage: $22.00
Benefits: No benefits during probationary period. Possible benefits with company once hired.
Days and Hours: M-T 5:30am-3:30pm, Swing M-T 3:00pm-1:00am with option working Friday but work schedule will vary.
