Job: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: White Plains /NY ,Onsite
Position : full time /Direct hire
Duties/Responsibilities
· Optimize manufacturing processes and procedures
· Collaborate with Production and Quality personnel to design and improve assembly and inspection fixturing
· Conduct engineering analyses
· Interface with multi-disciplinary teams, both internal and external (customers, suppliers, etc.)
· Use 3D CAD software to design and develop mechanical drawings
· Construct and evaluate engineering prototypes
· Complete the design process by generating production drawings and associated documentation
· Design and perform various qualification testing
· Develop project schedules and cost estimates based on design requirements
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
· Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor
· Experience with understanding and applying GD&T
· Extensive knowledge of materials and material properties
· Familiarity with metal fabrication processes
Preferred Assets
· Understanding of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles
· Exposure to designing for additive manufacturing (3D printing)
Education And Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
· 5+ years’ experience as a manufacturing or mechanical engineer, or 3+ years with an applicable Master’s degree

Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
