Your responsibilities and tasks:
We are interested in hiring a Mechanical Engineer that has passion to Engineer for a Better World. We collaborate daily with global engineering teams to develop industry leading milk harvesting technologies. We partner with the dairy farming community to provide state-of-the-art milking robots, automation, digitalization, and smart milking solutions. In the role as a Mechanical Engineer, you will tap into your curiosity and innovation to collaborate with a global team of diverse people who invent profitable and sustainable milk production solutions. The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to a team that improves machine reliability, manufacturing efficiency, and cow welfare. In addition, the Mechanical Engineer will have the opportunity to leverage skills in tactical & strategic thinking, business acumen, and professional oral & written communication. - Specifying, designing, developing, and testing of mechanical components and equipment up to complete system solutions in dairy farming
- CAD modelling (SolidWorks) in a PLM environment (Teamcenter)
- Support construction, operation, and presentation of lab tests and field tests
- Simulation knowledge in structural analysis and fluid flow
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes to enable design for manufacturability.
- CAD drafting with ISO drawing standards
- Interfacing with SAP
- Understanding of materials and evaluation of chemical reactions on those materials
- Global exposure and work in multi-national environment (German language skills beneficial)
- Good communication skill, positive attitude, and team player
- Comfortable working with livestock
Your profile and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (Electromechanical, Physics, Manufacturing engineering, or any Engineering related degree)
- 1 - 10 years of engineering experience
- Experience in CAD, Solidworks (preferred) or other 3D modelling experience considered.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with PLM preferred
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Strong desire to learn
- Good work ethic
- Strong team player
- Well-developed communication skills both written and oral
- German language skills are beneficial
