Searching for 1* full time and 1 part Medical Assistants in our Rochester and Lake Orion clinic . *Medical Assistants facilitates the overall business operations of the clinic. Ultimately, ensuring steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our medical facility.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Rooming patients without delay
- Preparing patients for examination
- Taking medical histories
- Proper documentation of all patients
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Assisting the physician during exams
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Performing basic laboratory tests
- Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
- Transmitting prescription refills as directed
- Drawing blood, Start I.V drip
- Taking electrocardiograms
- Removing sutures and changing dressings
- Taking X-ray
- Ensure patient satisfaction
- Inventory Medical Supplies (each shift)
- Check expiration dates of medicines (monthly)
- Transmittal of medical Lab and X-Ray readings as needed.
- Arrange for hospital and laboratory services
Administrative Responsibilities
- Welcome incoming patients
- Register incoming patients
- Answering telephones
- Using computer applications
- Collect and Monitor co-pays.
- Maintain copies of frequently used forms
- Updating and filing patient medical records
- Coding and filling out insurance forms
- Scheduling appointments
- Handling correspondence from start to finish (follow up)
- Develop and implement policies and procedures
- Cleaning schedule
- Opening/closing properly
- Complete tasks during slow periods (cleaning/maintaining documents)
- Inventory office supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations and laws
- Control removal of medical waste in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Keep track of equipment and devices
