Our service allows physicians to treat their patients for cardiac disease with the most cutting edge tools in nuclear medicine, without leaving the comfort of their practice. We exclusively perform mobile cardiac PET imaging exams, the recognized gold standard across the United States in detecting early coronary artery disease before it is evident on other imaging tests.
We are currently seeking a Medical Billing/ Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team!
Essential Functions:

- Accurately enter patient demographics and patient insurance charges into practice management/billing system (eClinicalWorks and CareCloud)
- Verify and process credit card and bank lockbox reconciliations.
- Accurately process and charge post Medicare, Medicaid, private payer claims and patient statements in accordance with payer requirements and organization policy.
- Assist in the preparation of daily/monthly billing and accounts receivable reports
- Assist with maintaining accurate billing analysis reports (Excel)
- Assist and oversee facility operations of collections functions
- Maintain complete and accurate billing and accounts receivable records
- Prepare Medicare, Medicaid, Private Payer remittances and patient statements for data entry and submission.
- Alert appropriate management team members regarding late or missing documents required for billing.
- Collection of receivables by monitoring accounts receivables resubmitting and appealing claims for outstanding and overdue accounts and alerting management team regarding seriously overdue accounts.
- Assist and oversee facility operations of collection functions.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, payers, customers, and team members.
- Maintain patient and organizational confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other specific projects relating to billing, data entry, collections and computer operations as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience of medical billing and revenue cycle management
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance industry including Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and other governmental and commercial payors
- Experience with eClinicalWorks and Care Cloud preferred
- Billing and receivable experience across multiple states is a plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Must be a team player and yet be able to work independently
- Must be computer literate in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
- Bilingual in Spanish is a Plus

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
