We are an acute care hospital located in Gainesville, Texas.
Our medical center houses 42 medical/surgical beds, a 6-bed intensive care unit, and a 12-bed women’s center. Also included in the medical facility are a 15-bed outpatient surgery center, an expanded surgical department, a vascular lab, and a greatly expanded emergency department (five fast-track, three trauma, and three specialty rooms).
We serve the residents of Cooke, eastern Montague, western Grayson, and northern Denton counties in Texas and southern Love County, Oklahoma.
We are operated by Community Hospital Corporation and is owned by Gainesville Hospital District.

Description:
Performs clinical lab procedures, quality assurance, and instrument maintenance.
Performs routine and special lab tests within an assigned area.
Recognizes test inconsistencies and takes appropriate corrective action.
Verifies and calls critical results to physicians or nurses immediately and according to lab policy.
Review results for clerical accuracy prior to completing.
Performs quality control tests.
Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Obtains blood specimens and collects non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing.
Contributes to the general lab functions and institutional needs
Requirements:
Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education or subsequent training.
Associate or Bachelors' degree in Medical Technology or chemical, physical, or biological science.
MLT (ASCP) or the equivalent. New graduates of an accredited training program are required to take the applicable registration exam within 3 months of graduation and must pass the applicable registration exams within 6 months of graduation.
In compliance with the emergency regulation issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and company policy, we and our affiliate companies require all employees to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical or religious accommodation as a condition of employment.
