Job description
Schedules patients and directs calls transferring when necessary
Confirms appointments
Precerts Office visits
Responds to requests for information i.e. office notes for therapy facilities, MRI facilities
Updates records i.e. personal information, status changes and reports insurance changes to the billing office
Flags files for IME/Perm patients
Completes insurance forms and collects fee for completion
Prepares charts for next day/week appointments
Checks for any patients that need referrals and obtains them for the visits for all offices
Greets patients at the window during office hours and checks each patient in
Obtains medical reports for doctor i.e. MRI, EMG for patient’s being seen by calling facilities and having them faxed to us and placed on the patient’s chart
Completes transcription log with patient’s name and info
Collects copays and gives patient receipt recording in receipt book
Checks the paperwork that is completed by each new patient ensuring we have all info and signatures
Makes sure paperwork is complete with adjuster’s full name and insurance company and claim number and body part for work/comp
Makes sure the patient’s are seen in the appropriate order and the office hours are kept flowing
Maintains a supply of forms for front desk use and for all travel offices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
