We are actively hiring a Medical Records Coordinator to join our Five-Star Facility!

Mount Notre Dame Health Center consists of 80 private rooms (40 skilled nursing/40 assisted living).

Who we are looking for?

We are seeking an efficient individual with impeccable attention to detail who has the ability to maintain and organize medical records in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations. In addition, adhere to facility policies and procedures and perform clerical duties associated with position.

Other Requirements:

• Maintains organization, compliance, and maintenance needs of all medical records.
• Maintains record of required reporting within department
• Maintains up to date required credentialing information for outside consultants, business associates, and physicians.
• Addresses facility or record deficiencies and implement plan of action for correction. Monitor completion.
• Maintains Admission and Discharge documentation.
• Codes and quantifies records from admission to discharge
• Develops, reviews, and implements policies and procedures.
• Completes and communicates necessary reporting or information to Physicians for signatures.
• Participates and holds the position as Quality Assurance (QAPI) Coordinator.
• Maintains, leads, and enforces HIPAA compliance.
• Completes Medicare certifications and audits.
• Performs and maintains Release of Information records.
• Maintains compliance regarding Physician regulations and needs, State, Federal, and Facility requirements.
• Monitors documentation, health alerts, and completion of clinical tasks.
• Serves as back up to admission process.
• RHIT preferred.
• QAPI preferred.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $21.00 - $27.30 per hour

Experience:
