As a Biller, you will be responsible for reviewing account files to ensure accuracy and completeness, and maximum reimbursement.

How you will make an impact:

• Reviews patient account files to prepare and review billing to be submitted to primary/secondary insurance carriers.
• Responds to patient, insurance carrier and internal and external telephone inquiries.
• Ensure copay's are collected or billed to appropriate Payor
• Contacting patients to set up or reschedule deliver and update appropriate staff.
• Review Pharmacy order and label verifying that the billing information matches dispense prior to submission of claim.
• Completes all denial and correspondence daily.
• Participate in Center QA& I to ensure achievement of excellence.
• Responsible for knowing and following policies and procedures.
• Re-bills claims when not paid properly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a H.S. diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing and/or appeals process in Medicare/MediCal, including medical office experience
• Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills:

• ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding knowledge strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.92 - $22.00 per hour
