Opportunity
Coordinate and service low, medium, and high profile group business. Selling the resort offerings at the best possible profit while ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with multiple internal and external customers - client, corporate sales, DK golf, front of house, banquet services, catering and back of house – to deliver five-star corporate events across all venues and drive food, beverage, and miscellaneous sales of this area to planned financial objectives.

Specific Responsibilities
- Intermediate use and navigation in regularly used applications such as property management system, hotel sales and catering system, credit card authorization system, internal ordering systems, etc.
- Represent client to ensure a successful, seamless event while maximizing their meeting objectives.
- Represent and be a liaison for the resort and its many outlets and associated amenities to the client.
- Intermediate knowledge of all Kohler hospitality businesses: history, business operations and offerings.
- Communicate deadlines and execute follow-up for clients to ensure success to include room block cut-off, resume, BEO, final F&B count, etc.
- Complete site inspections and pre-cons as requested.
- Conduct group event tastings.
- Act as on-site contact.
- Provide consistent and timely delivery of services to clients.
- Maximize profit through upselling linens, event space, and additional incremental group spend.
- Assist sales to maximize room nights.
- Provide excellent guest service and seamless event execution to ensure repeat business.
- Attend departmental meetings accordingly.
- Participate in resort and departmental coverage as scheduled – morning, evening & weekend coverage.
- Ensure prompt and timely distribution of banquet event orders and group resumes.
- Prepare & communicate group quotes.
- Confirm guarantees and changes to appropriate departments to utilize all hospitality resources responsibly.
- Update and maintain “resource library” for vendors.
- Work with outside vendors for items not available at the American Club, as required, this includes transportation vendors.
- Provide monthly accrual information.
- Post audit program profitability via master bill actual spend in comparison to contracted obligation.
- Tracking of incremental group spend.
- Create and maintain departmental standard operating procedures and assist in training new team members as needed.
- Other duties as requested by management.
Skills/Requirements
- College degree preferred.
- 3+ years of hospitality experience in similar or varying department required
- 3+ years of hospitality / golf event planning experience with demonstrated execution of events.
- Knowledge of computer software to include Windows, Microsoft Office, and Delphi is a plus. General computer proficiency required.
- Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation preferred.
