Mental Health Technician

Are you a certified nursing assistant who is truly dedicated to the patients you serve? At UF Health, we share your commitment and are looking for a mental health technician who will help us further our goal of extraordinary patient care.

As a mental health tech, you’ll work under a nurse’s supervision in an interdisciplinary team setting, assisting those with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. You’ll help patients to live fuller lives in a number of ways, engaging in therapeutic activities and helping with everything from physical to psychosocial needs. You’ll also assist with unit operations, monitoring safety and vital signs and maintaining equipment and supplies.

If you’re a caring and attentive individual, this is a terrific opportunity. We’re looking for:

· A certified nursing assistant with a high school diploma or the equivalent. You can also be a nursing student who has completed fundamental skills clinical experience.

· Work experience as a CNA, PCA or MHT is preferred.
