Mountain Valley Child and Family Services (MVCFS) is looking for mentors to be a part of our team and work with our youth. The mentor will provide safety, supervision, and interaction with severely emotionally at-risk youth. At MVCFS, you get the opportunity to be a role model to our youth.

Some call them heroes, in our organization, we call these mentors, Mental Health Workers.

A little about us:

Mountain Valley Child and Family Services (MVCFS) provides individualized treatment for youth and teens, ages 10-21 in Nevada City, Sacramento, and the Bay Area.

Located on a beautiful 900-acre ranch for boys in Nevada City, the campus offers opportunities for sports, greenhouse/gardening, swimming, biking, hiking, and working with animals.

The Mental Health Worker is responsible for working with our youth in daily activities, practicing and learning life and social skills, and helping in their education and our private classrooms -which are located on our property, within feet of where the children live. You have the opportunity to make a difference and be a lifelong positive influence.

Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma or GED

• Drivers License Required
• Will successfully complete a DOJ Criminal Background Check, drug screen, pre-employment physical and provide DMV record
