• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical equipment failures.
• Develop, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Review and track equipment component failures and help make recommendations for increased long term reliability.
• Maintain appropriate equipment documentation and change control according to internal procedures.
• Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development.
• Installation and start-up of new equipment.
• Completes basic maintenance procedures with minimal supervision
• Complete complex Maintenance with limited supervision
• Completes maintenance request work orders for regulated and un-regulated systems
• Performs routine checks/inspection routes. Records equipment readings and changes chart paper.
• Effective documentation of Preventive Maintenance and Calibration under the GMP, development and research umbrella
• Complete Equipment Activation following established procedure
• Schedule self-performed work assigned at beginning of month and due by end of month
• Schedules and escorts contractors through facility for routine deliveries or inspections. Ensuring they complete activities per procedure or agreements
• Recommend facility improvements to meet OSHA safety, ISPE or FDA guidelines
• Creation of maintenance procedures, and updating existing procedures to match best practices and lessons learned
• Identifies and orders spare or replacement parts for equipment utilizing inventory management system.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or GED required.
• Technical Trade School (mechanical certification), in lieu of 3-5 years of previous mechanical experience in a related field.
• 3-5 years of previous mechanical experience in a related field, in lieu of Technical Trade School (mechanical certification)
• Individuals with equivalent education, training, and experience will be considered.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical, biochemical, or food manufacturing environment required.
