JOB TITLE: Manager of Residential Services
Cedar Grove RTC, located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is a 45-bed CARF-accredited facility that treats young men, ages 11-17, who are struggling with Sexual/or mental health issues. As a Mgr of Residential Services you will have the opportunity to contribute to the effective implementation of individual treatment plans through “line of sight” supervision, positive interaction and role-modeling.

JOB SUMMARY
Manages and directs shift Supervisors at Cedar Grove RTC. Provides direct care, leadership, direction, and supervision for all Resident Counselors on his/her shift and/or unit. On-Call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for call offs and any other calls from his/her staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field preferred and one year of administrative supervisory experience in a child-caring institution. Applicable experience may be substituted for education.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Excellent written, oral and leadership skills required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Hire, supervise, and evaluate professional staff in the residential program: cultivate effective team operation through assigning, training, supervising, and evaluating staff and their work: makes recommendations on employment, retention, promotion, demotion and other personnel action.
- Coordinates caregiver responsibilities and delegates responsibilities to assure overall quality of care for patients.
- Implements the behavioral program to include clinical interventions.
- Lead the department in full implementation and compliance with legal regulations, agency policy and procedure and accreditation standards. Studies relevant policy and procedure and makes recommendations for change.
- Maintains records and reports as necessary to include monthly data tracking and facility operations summaries.
- Performs administrative on-call duties.
- Maintains professional standards of care, performance, and attitude.
- Promotes and maintains departmental functioning in a professional manner.
- Maintains on-going communication with administration as it relates to milieu status, patient acuity, staffing changes and other clinical and personnel issues.
- Assists in staff orientation, educational needs, and maintaining competent staff.
- Manages overtime for direct care staff.
- Ensures resources for direct care staff.
- Assists with patient staffing when needed.
- Assists with coverage for staff breaks on his/her shift.
- Administrator-On-Call one week every 7 week

The work environment for this position is a residential facility setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to residents who may ask inappropriate personal questions, display socially unacceptable personal behaviors, use profanity and sexually-explicit phrases, make insulting remarks or threats regarding appearance, age, sex, or race, and exhibit defiance, dishonesty, and assaultive or self-destructive behaviors.
