BOLD Media, an innovative entertainment and broadcast media company, is looking to hire a talented welder/fabricator to assist with the fabrication and assembly of industrial holiday themed light displays.

As a core function of our business, BOLD Media operates a large number of popular seasonal special events throughout the Northeast. The welder/fabricator position is an integral component in the development and buildout of the displays used throughout our special event division.

In your role, you will be responsible for spot welding/cutting pre-formed steel wire and square tubing in accordance with our art department's designs to complete the shape of the light displays.

Your daily responsibilities will include handling the steel wire materials and tubing, arranging the components of each display for safe and proper welding, and conducting multiple spot welds as needed on each piece.

Each year, BOLD Media’s seasonal events draw tens of thousands of visitors at each of our numerous locations; as a welder/fabricator, you will have the opportunity to put your skills to unique (and cool) use!

An ideal candidate for this role would possess a strong background in welding and fabrication. They should have real world experience in the professional use of welding equipment, and have a working understanding of OSHA safety standards for responsible, safe operation of welding equipment and materials. Furthermore, the candidate should be of excellent moral character, posses a terrific work ethic, and be comfortable leading and working in a team environment.

Skills

• Experience utilizing MIG welding equipment, steel cutters and other related equipment
• Educational background in a related course of study strongly preferred, although not necessarily required
• Excellent team work ability, willingness to work with non-technical co-workers to better design structurally strong displays
