Primary Responsibilities

Receive, unload, count, position, and maintain all plants and associated materials in the sales yard.

Serve customers in the yard. Build relationships with foreman and crews associated to our customer base.

Use and operate radio communication professionally with all other employees.

Select and stage orders for customers as directed by branch management and sales staff while demonstrating the ability to be a team player.

Space, jam, prune, weed, fertilize, water, or take other plant care measures to keep plants healthy.

Load sales orders onto trucks for delivery/pick-up; maintain accurate paperwork and accurately audit material during the loading/unloading process.

Own and maintain safe work practices and behaviors.

Operate skid steer and other MHE under OSHA certification as required.

Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Training

Education

High School diploma or secondary diploma or equivalent desired

Skills and Training

Ability and desire to do the job once and right, exhibit pride in work.

Ability to become certified to operate MHE (Material Handling Equipment)

Ability and desire to learn plant names and location in the yard.

Friendly, outgoing, cheerful, professional

Physical Requirements

Prolonged walking and standing

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Repeatedly.

Ability to work a flexible schedule (M-F) on occasional weekends.

Ability to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold
