The Northwest Center @ Amazon team operates in a fast-paced and demanding corporate environment where we provide professional 5-star customer service across several program divisions. The Move Ambassador Team is responsible for the inner office move process. In partnership with vendors, they execute corporate office moves, educate the customer move point of contact throughout the move process and they are the “gatekeepers” of information encompassing the entire move.
Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, the Move Support Assistant exhibits exceptional customer service and timely communication to assist customers; supporting efficient and seamless moves across workspaces on the corporate client campus. Responsibilities include management and coordination of email communication, data verification walks, onsite support to help resolve customer issues, assist in various areas of the move process and any building related tasks as needed.
Location: Arlington, VA & DMV Area
Starting Hour Rate: $23.65 per hour | Full Hourly Rate: $23.65 - $28.14 per hour
Schedule: Full-time flexible schedule but typically Monday - Sunday generally between 7:00am - 6PM but availability outside of these hours is needed.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Customer Support
- Monitor shared email inbox. Triaging emails received to ensure they are responded to in a timely manner, placing emails in specific categories based on content, and answering baseline move related questions.
- Provide onsite and virtual support before, during, and after move projects to answer employee questions and offer guidance about their interoffice move.
- Assist customers in search and identification of missing or unclaimed items during move projects.
- Create and distribute customer and point-of-contact feedback surveys.
- Retain building, amenity, and workspace knowledge to help answer customer questions and troubleshoot issues.
Workplace Support
- Perform audits that can include workspace, signage, IT equipment, employee behavior, and facilities to validate employee desk location, floor plans and/or related client site information.
- Support data submission for moves or seat corrections ensuring system information is accurate.
Move Support
- Support on-site move verification and quality control walks to cross-reference system data with physical workspace conditions.
- Assist Move Ambassador team members in completing move milestones as needed
Program and Team
- Assume day-to-day responsibility for successful task completion, with an ability to work independently and out of line of sight from other team members for all or part of shift.
- Provide program leadership with analysis and insight into email data and trends.
- Assist with new tasks, processes, or projects as needed to support evolving team requirements, other NWC divisions, and Amazon partners.
- Contribute to Move Ambassador team development including providing job training, shadowing and mentorship to new employees.
- Work cohesively with other supporting vendors including but not limited to project management, security, facilities, and move companies.
- Hours will have a varied start and end times due to move and scheduling needs. Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends.
Needed Experience & Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1-year customer service, real estate/facilities, operations or administrative support experience.
- Proficiency with MS Windows, Excel, and Outlook e-mail.
Demonstrable Skills
- Ability to write concise correspondence and effectively communicate verbally and electronically with all levels of management, employees, vendor partners, event organizers and visitors.
- Effective time management.
- Working independently and in a team setting.
- Commitment to work in an inclusive and diverse environment.
- Ability to understand, interpret and follow Northwest Center (NWC) and client policies and procedures.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Must be able to frequently carry and lift a backpack containing a laptop and other supplies, up to 50 pounds.
- May need to carry supplies to other buildings.
- It is a combination of desk and actively visiting several client buildings so the ability to walk consistently within a 1.5 radius is required.
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods (up to 8 hours per workday).
- Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language
- Ability to see both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses).
- Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device).
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
- This is a dog friendly environment with over 1000 dogs on campus. Individuals with dog allergies or those who do not particularly care for dogs may not be the best fit.
