Job Description: MRI Tech Location: Austin, Texas Duration: 13 week renewable contract
Position Summary: The MRI Tech is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create images of patients' bodies. The MRI Tech will follow protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff during exams, and will also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment. The MRI Tech will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that exams are accurately performed and results are accurately interpreted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanners to create images of patients' bodies
- Follow protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff during exams
- Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that exams are accurately performed and results are accurately interpreted
- Maintain patient records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to provide information about the MRI process and address any concerns
Qualifications:
- Must have at least one year experience as an MRI Tech
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow protocols and adhere to safety guidelines.
