TWB Company is North America’s market leader for tailor welded products with locations in Kentucky, Michigan, Tennessee, Ontario and Mexico. Formed in 1992, TWB is a joint venture of Worthington Industries and BAO and Steel Company. The company developed the tailor welded blank market in North America and is the leading manufacturer of tailor welded products in the NAFTA region supporting JIT production and services to the automotive industry. The company’s technologies are helping automotive companies produce stronger, lighter vehicles.
We are looking to add a 2nd shift Multi-Trade Maintenance Tech to our team. Hours are 3PM-11PM with expected overtime.
Our maintenance team works together to:
- Maintain plant equipment and facilities with the assistance of wiring diagrams, schematics, manufacturing manuals, work orders and drawings.
- Plan and layout installations to complete projects timely and within budget parameters.
- Ensure all maintenance work meets all applicable code requirements.
- Maintain current working knowledge in the following areas: Programmable Logic Controls (PLC’s), Robotics, Servo and AC/DC drives.
- Troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical components of equipment to reduce or eliminate downtime.
- Install or modify programs and equipment as required with appropriate approval.
- Maintain electrical schematics and spare parts inventory in order to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) on electrical cabinets, controls, mechanical equipment, and forklifts to reduce frequency and cost of downtime.
- Recommend solutions to major equipment failures.
- Follow-up on maintenance work orders with production to ensure problem resolution.
- Perform work following defined work procedures and safety protocols with limited supervision.
- Assist with waste handling and shipping as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Experience
- Working knowledge of related code regulations (i.e. National Electric Code)
- Working knowledge of PLC’s, servo drives, and robotics
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred
- 3+ years of electrical/mechanical maintenance work in an industrial environment
