This role involves responsibility for the design, integrity and quality of an IS (Information Systems) solution and of associated IS services delivered to business and support functions as well as IS Technology domains. As a lead for SAP Development and coordination you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and technical delivery of Abap based applications in SAP ECC, HSP, BW, FioRi environments in America’s region. You will also be responsible for collaborating and coordinating with other teams including off-shore teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of Abap applications with other business processes.

Your responsibilities

• Technical delivery and management of SAP Projects for US (United States), CA (Canada) and Mexico
• Oversee the development and implementation of ABAP based applications in SAP
• Manage a team of ABAP developers and ensure the delivery of high quality code
• Collaborate with other IT (Information Technology) teams to integrate ABAP based applications with other business processes
• Work with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ABAP development
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes for ABAP development
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to ABAP development and implementation
• Stay current with new SAP ABAP technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization
• Support the testing, deployment, and maintenance of ABAP based applications
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide recommendations on how ABAP based applications can improve business processes
• Manage project timelines, resources and budgets related to ABAP development and coordination
• Work closely with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Build internal solutions, with custom front end (web, mobile) and back end services that automate business processes
• Maintain a high level of development practice including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, modular, and self sustaining code.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience of 10 years of technical expertise in ERP implementations is required and 5 years of progressive SAP ABAP experience is a must with a minimum of 3 full lifecycle implementations
• Extensive experience in integration using BAPIs, IDOCs, Web Services and other integration techniques
• Working knowledge in S/4 HANA and Fiori is preferred
• Experience with Solution Manager is preferred
• Project management using different technics (Agile, Waterfall, Lean 6 Sigma) are preferred
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
