The Center for Health Leadership and Impact at the Public Health Institute (PHI) is recruiting a National Overdose Prevention Network (NOPN) program associate to increase the capacity of this national learning community. We support local, regional and statewide overdose prevention efforts that draw communities together to save lives. Our goal is to help those doing the work on the ground share lessons learned and get inspired by new strategies. AmeriCorps VISTA members commit one year working full-time to support the program's capacity through project management, data analysis, national conference planning, materials development, virtual event production and website management, and more. You will also be part of a nationwide learning network with other VISTA members serving in coalitions statewide and have access to virtual and in-person professional development opportunities.
National Overdose Prevention Network(NOPN)Program Associate
Member Duties : As an AmeriCorps VISTA member you will build the capacity of the National Overdose Prevention Network (NOPN; www.nopn.org) by contributing to the nationwide response to the overdose crisis through the implementation of intervention strategies known to reduce overdose rates. This includes safe prescribing, ensuring access to treatment, and harm reduction. You will address inequities surrounding vulnerable populations, including but not limited to black and indigenous people of color (BIPOC), people of varying socio-economic status, and people of all genders. You will improve materials that support intervention activities; organize virtual events/conferences; manage websites; and assess opportunities to enhance equitable services and programs. This opportunity will provide key skills in logistics, organization, coordination, and interpersonal communication.
