You will Ma nage the national deployment of finished goods for a category or categories between the producing plant/buffer and the mixing centers utilizing Manugistics and associated system tools. Responsible for maximizing customer service while minimizing supply chain costs and distressed product loss. The role is a key driver of BU achievement of cash flow, service and cost goals.

How you will contribute

You will:

• Plan the distribution of the finished product
• Track availability to ensure compliance with the sales team's monthly quota, in addition to the order case fill rate (CFR) and on cap availability (OCA) objectives
• Build the sales and distribution forecast for distribution centers aligned with CS&L planning, and shares this plan with logistics operations to build on warehousing and transportation capacity
• Ensure timely pipeline coverage for new item product launches to meet customer expectations.
• Resolve product availability-related issues by communicating with National Production Planners, Site Logistics Planners and Customer Service Coordinators to keep everyone apprised of potential service impacts and recovery timing.
• Optimize the network by setting up and maintaining deployment parameters, reviewing code date requirements and initiating stock transfers to service our customers and minimize waste
• Coordinate product discontinuations by updating appropriate system settings and communicating with CSCs to properly transition/exit items in this category
• Execute various forward deployment strategies such as utilizing safety stock templates to protect customer service

What you will bring

• Experience in distribution of inventories between locations or related, inventory balancing
• Supply chain experience (production process management and distribution processes)
• Experience in processes related to the planning cycle, mainly as a distribution planner (MRP, DRP)
• Project management experience (timetables, availability projection)
• Experience in customer order management (key substitution, delivery appointments, delivery specifications)
• Experience working with warehouses, transportation, DSD branches, distribution
• Problem solving

Education / Certifications:

BS/BA Degree

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain related discipline

APICS certification a plus

Job specific requirements:

Work schedule: Monday to Friday
