MID-LEVEL PRACTITIONER with COMMUNITY HEALTH CLINIC located in Salinas/Monterey area

Provides primary health care and performs selective medical services in a family practice setting under the supervision of clinic physicians in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of California, and the policies and procedures of the clinic. Work requires the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct patient care appropriate to patient population of specialty. Conduct physical assessments, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, provide screenings, interventions, counseling, and prescribe medications.

The current need is M-F with primarily closing shifts 11am – 8pm, but some 8am – 5pm.

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant training program
• Must hold a current Physician Assistant certification and/or license, recognized by the State of California
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful
• Strong desire to offer exceptional care and work well with supportive team of professionals

This position is affiliated with a full service, 62-bed not for profit hospital providing exceptional health care to San Benito County and southern Santa Clara County with a total population of 60K residents. The Hospital offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services that include emergency services, stroke care, surgical services, radiology and diagnostic imaging services, laboratory services, palliative care, physical, speech and occupational therapy, respiratory care, and a new modern birthing center. Also included within the San Benito Health Care District are four community health clinics, two specialty centers and four satellite lab/draw stations and a home health agency. This position is a half hour’s drive to Salinas, 45 minutes to Monterey and home to many wonderful wineries, boutiques and specialty shops, outdoor recreation areas, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside.
