**Eaton’s Aerospace division, Fluid and Electrical Distribution department, is actively looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our team on 3rd shift. This role is situated at our facility in Beltsville, MD.**

**Responsibilities:**

  • Proficiency in operating and setting up machines with varying controls across 3 or more cells
  • Ability to modify, edit, download and upload programs via DNC system for multiple parts
  • Capable of performing minor set-ups and tool changes to execute a sequence of operations such as turning, drilling, and boring various metal components
  • Expertise in identifying inserts, cutters, and general tooling for specific operations
  • Pre-kitting for the next job
  • Meeting OEE target time to achieve daily objectives
  • Addressing scrap causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Following procedure according to production routers
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices
  • Responsible for ensuring finished parts conformity to print or specification
  • Performing all 5S+ activities and maintaining immediate work area clean and hazard-free
  • Willingness to train and mentor other operators
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

**Required (Basic) Qualifications:**

  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Completion of 2 years of manufacturing experience OR machinist/CNC degree/certification
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship, presently and in the future
  • This position requires access to hardware or information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR
  • No relocation assistance is available for this role. Only candidates within 50 miles of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active duty military service members are exempt from the geographical area restriction

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Completion of 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Completion of 2 years of CNC experience
