Looking for a Nurse Practitioner PART-TIME to join our integrative medicine/functional medicine practice. Integrative Medicine has become so utilized that even Harvard Medical School has an Integrative Medical Center. The Nurse Practitioner must be willing to learn an area of practice that is new, be able to coordinate traditional with alternative treatments in a collaborative manner with other providers, and MUST be able to “think out of the box” for the patients that do not fit the regular molds of health care. Position is part-time and is ideal for for the person with a family or who is looking to scale back. We are a small private practice, not an institution or a "megacorp", and the pace reflects this. Salary will be commensurate with specific ability and skills relative to this job, and will include incentive and bonuses.

Requirements

• Current MD state license and ability to practice independently
• Current DEA certificate
• NPI#
• CDS

Responsibilities

• B12 and other vitamin injections IM
• IV pushes of nutrients (MUST be proficient in locating a vein and inserting a small gauge butterfly needle--skills equivalent to a blood draw)
• performing knee injections and other joint injections under fluro--training available
• trigger point injections--training available
• managing patients care needs according to clinical protocols
• completing forms and notes for documentation and billing purposes.
• communicating care plans that promote patients into making healthier lifestyle choices
• Collaborating treatment plans with other providers

Compensation

$119,000 to 124,000 plus bonus
