This position is located in Orangeburg, SC and under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.
Orangeburg Area MHC is an approved site for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment of up to $50,000.00 to employees of NHSC - approved sites. You must be a US Citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired, and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans. There is a two year service commitment required as well. Confirmation of qualifying for this loan repayment program is the responsibility of every applicant - we cannot guarantee your qualification.
Assess clients, plans treatment and manages medication.
Participates in clinic staffings and reviews treatment plan; participates in psychiatric staff meetings; takes an interest in administrative and community tissues in assigned clinics.
Participates in case reviews and committees, as assigned.
1. Provides individualized goal directed interventions that are safe and effective to clients of all ages (as credentialed) and clinical presentations utilizing nursing practice standards and in collaboration with members of the health care team to achieve identified outcomes.
2. Provides comprehensive psychiatric, psychopharmacological and risk assessment/management for clients of all ages (in accordance to educational credentials) and all clinical presentations across the continuum. Collaborates with physician supervisor to establish protocols. Supervise practices pertinent to psychiactric diagnosis, pharmacological management and any other treatment.
3. Meets productivity requirements as outlined by Center Administration.
4. Consistently adheres to Compliance policies and Code of Conduct of the organization. Demonstrates compliance with relevant safety accreditation, and regulatory requirements. Nurse Practitioner must demonstrate compliance with all applicable hospital policies.
5. Maintains current and up to date knowledge and skills related to client treatment.
6. Orders lab work and screens incoming lab work protocol
STATE: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with clinical experience.
AGENCY REQUIREMENT: A Master’s degree in nursing. Licensure as a registered nurse with official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner by the SC Board of Nursing, practicing in the extended role with prescriptive authority in the State of South Carolina.
