Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Position Summary
The Nursing Supervisor (RN) PRN is responsible for administrative and clinical supervision of nursing staff. This position will have administrative responsibility for nursing and non-nursing staff assigned to days, evenings, nights and/or weekends, as assigned by the Nurse Executive and Administration.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction, on his/her assigned shift, to other registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, counselors, and unit secretaries.
- Ensure appropriate staffing for number and acuity of patients on assigned shift, utilizing float pool and agency staff, as needed.
- admit and discharge patients after hours in accordance with hospital Policies and Procedures.
- To ensure proper handling and documentation of all emergencies, incidents, special procedures, and patient complaints during assigned shift.
- To communicate with administrator-on-call about admissions and incidents.
- Assist with delivery of direct patient care as needed

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate's Degree) required. BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas required.

Two (2) years inpatient psychiatric experience required. One year medical/surgical experience preferred. Previous management experience preferred.
- CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.
- Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM/ Week 2: M-W 9 AM - 5 PM
