M Health Fairview Rehabilitation offers a broad range of services that serve patients across 10 acute-care hospitals, 3 post-acute settings and 70 outpatient adult and pediatric therapy clinics. Consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Audiology and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, our therapists collaborate with colleagues in all medical settings and offer dozens of specialty programs.
As an academic health system with residency and fellowship programs and a rehab-focused clinical quality team, we have a collaborative culture that is centered on learning with an emphasis on evidence based, patient-centered care.. Rehab’s continuing education program offers 40+ continuing education courses per year at no cost to employees and further supports numerous external CE courses each year.

The Occupational Therapist partners with the patient and their care providers while performing evaluation and re-evaluation. Captures and applies pertinent data, performs examination, and resolves treatment diagnosis.
Looking for a fun, rewarding career? M Health Fairview is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our hard-working rehab team! This is flexible workforce position, floating between M Health Fairview Southdale and M Health Fairview Ridges hospitals. This therapist will treat patients of a variety of diagnoses, including ortho, neuro, cardiac, general medical, general surgical, complex medical, and oncology. This position is approved for
80 hours every two weeks with a schedule of Mon-Tue-Thurs-Fri 730-5 and 1 weekend (Sat/Sun) per month 730-4. This role is also a benefit eligible position.

In collaboration with patients and families, the OT is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes. We are an outstanding multi-disciplinary team of therapists, nurses, physicians, care coordinators working together for patient outcomes!
The Occupational Therapist partners with the patient and their care providers while performing evaluation and re-evaluation. Captures and applies pertinent data, performs examination, and resolves treatment diagnosis.
- Develops an individualized plan of care through coordination
- Analyzes data to identify needs and potential risks, settles prognosis for recovery, and establishes individualized goals
- Implements and modifies care plan based on reassessment and patient response
- Coordinates care and communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team for all aspects care & establishes appropriate discharge plan
- Implements and alters treatment to reflect change in patient status and response to treatment
- Assesses patient and/or caregiver learning needs and provides appropriate education
- Completes documentation in a timely manner per department standards
- Prioritizes tasks and patient care for effective time management.
- Advises team members and/or supervises students as designated
- Pursues professional development to support clinical standard processes
Required
- Occupational Therapy Licensure in State of Minnesota or temporary license
- Active Basic Life Support Certification
Preferred
- Master’s Degree in OT
- 1+ year(s) of OT experience post graduation
- Certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
