The Ocean Lifeguard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all beach-goers. This will include monitoring ocean conditions, performing rescues, providing emergency medical care, enforcing beach rules and regulations, and educating the public on ocean safety.

Job Duties:

• Conduct visual and audible surveillance of designated area of the beach and ocean.
• Monitor ocean conditions and weather patterns to assess safety risks.
• Respond quickly and effectively to any water-related emergency situations, performing rescues as needed.
• Administer first aid and emergency medical care as necessary.
• Provide beach safety education to the public and enforce beach rules and regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
• Maintain beach equipment and supplies in good condition.
• Provide support to other lifeguards and beach staff as needed.
• Maintain a high level of physical fitness and health.

Qualifications:

• Lifeguard certified before your first day of work.
• Ability to swim 500 yards in 10 minutes or less.
• Knowledge of ocean and beach safety procedures, including rescue techniques, first aid, and emergency response protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the public and other staff members.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to swim and tread water in ocean currents and waves.
• Able to run, sprint, and walk on the sand.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.50 - $20.50 per hour
