J.C.'s Jewelry & Repair - a family-owned and operated fine jewelry store with on-site jewelry repair, watch batteries, watch repair and custom jewelry design - is seeking a full-time Office Assistant to join the team at the O’Fallon, Illinois store location. The desired candidate will be willing to work approximately 35-40 hours per week between the hours of 9:00 am - 6:00 pm with some flexibility. This position will be assisting the Business Owner and Operations Manager. An interest in fine jewelry and fashion is desired.

The ideal candidate should exemplify the following:

· Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Professional phone etiquette as will be required to answer incoming phone calls.

· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. This position is constantly evolving.

· Strong technical skills, including Google Docs and Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on Excel.

Desired Candidate Skill Set. We will train the right candidate!

· General office skills – filing and 10-Key Calculator.

· Assist with vendor phone calls and ordering office supplies and jewelry merchandise.

· Assist with bookkeeping work in QuickBooks online.

· Assist with mail-outs to external vendors.

· Assist with tagging of jewelry merchandise.

· Assist store manager as needed.

Benefits:
Our hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 9am – 6pm, Friday 9am-7pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. We do have extended holiday hours during November and December. This position is full-time and hours can be flexible. We prefer 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday. Pay is based on experience. Interviews will be conducted in-person.
