- Job Title: Janitorial Technician

- Job Location: Employee will be responsible for janitorial cleaning, shared responsibility for building landscaping, and journeyman maintenance technician for commercial properties located in Raleigh, Garner, Cary and Sanford.

- Start Date: Immediate

We are looking for someone that will be committed to our mission. We are looking for someone organized and process oriented to efficiently finish planned work but can also handle the constant interruptions that come with supporting our members. We are looking for a candidate that respects their coworkers and helps facilitate the team working together. The candidate must be able to follow instructions written in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) but at the same time be open minded enough to develop and write updates to the SOP’s when they need to be changed. And the candidate must be able to work within a business that is technology forward and be able to utilize technology tools to help keep the team organized and running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for someone that is respectful, hard working, optimistic, service oriented and wants to learn.
• Must be proficient with technology. Must be able to use electronic systems for managing maintenance tickets, asset management and readinginstructions. Must be able to use other tools like email and Google Calendar/Sheets/Docs. (Must have an up to date smartphone and be willing to allow apps to be installed to access work applications)
• Must be able to work a second shift job. Shifts will only last 8 hours and will vary day to day. But shifts most days would likely end no earlier than 8pm and could end as late as 1am (depending on many factors)
• Will be cleaning commercial office buildings including kitchens, bathrooms, lobbies, copy rooms, conference rooms and individual offices. Applicants must have at least basic knowledge of cleaning including vacuuming and which cleaning products to use for each surface and situation.
• Will also be spending some time on basic landscaping duties including mowing, blowing leaves, cleaning gutters, powerwashing, etc.
• Applicants must be able to lift at least 60 pounds. You will be called on to help move disassembled furniture and must be able to handle a commercial backpack vacuum.
• Must be interested in learning and growing professionally. We will also like to train you in assembling/disassembling furniture, painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing and we will call on you to work on tasks in this area. Over time we are willing to train you in as many areas of maintenance as you are willing to learn.
• Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and attitude around all staff and members at all times.
• Must be available for rare on call emergencies at commercial properties on nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License, car insurance, and a working vehicle to drive between locations.
• At least 1 year of cleaning experience in multifamily industry, commercial property maintenance or related is ideal.
• Basic familiarity with computers, smartphones and tablets
• Successfully pass a drug screen
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week and on-call hours
• Must live in Wake or Lee County

Compensation:

• $39K/yr exempt salary.
• Health insurance for employee (family coverage paid by employee).
• Paid Holidays and additional PTO available with manager approval.
• Reimbursement for mileage between properties.
• $50/mo reimbursement for use of personal smart phone.
• Educational and professional growth opportunities will be made available to employee on a case by case basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00 per year
