Responsibilities:

This individual will assist the government with requirements development and systems engineering activities in the Radio Frequency (RF), Infrared (IR), or communication system domains for a next generation simulation environment intended to test a variety of new and existing platforms.

The successful candidate will:
  • Assist the government with developing and decomposing requirements for the design and instantiation of the simulation environment and platform models to be used in the environment
  • Provide direct engineering support for system requirement reviews, preliminary/critical design reviews, and other programmatic reviews
  • Possesses a thorough working knowledge and deep understanding of RADAR, IR sensors, and or modern airborne communication systems
  • Uses knowledge of domain systems to assist the development of models at the pulse/wave level
  • Understands the drivers of signatures within their domain and can ensure models accurately reflect target platform
  • Leverages domain knowledge to develop and modify models
  • Works with customers and operations engineers to develop and execute test and training plans
  • Assists with the development and execution of Verification and Validation plans
  • Develops final data product formats and deliverables for simulation environment customers
  • Prepares documentation and reports, and participates in meetings with internal and external customers
  • Mentor junior employees and actively participates in their professional development

Qualifications:

Experience Requirements:
  • 8+ years developing or analyzing RF, IR, or comm systems
  • Possesses and uses excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as persuasion skills to advocate for various stakeholder needs

Education Requirements:
BS in Engineering (Aero, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Computer Science) required. MS in Engineering/science related field preferred.

Travel:
Occasional travel required (10-25%)

Security Clearance:
Current Secret (S) clearance with Top Secret (TS) eligibility. Candidates without a clearance may be considered, but all hires will be contingent on candidate meeting requirements for and gaining a security clearance. Active Top Secret clearance preferred.
