Job Summary

  • As an Operations Manager, you will be tasked with a wide-variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced and dynamic industry. Responsibilities

  • Attract, hire, and retain talented team members who fit our culture and have the skills necessary to thrive in their perspective role
  • Maintain constant communication with management, delivery teams, store staff, and customers to throughout each day
  • Coordinate repairs of damages caused by our teams to ensure they are completed in a timely manner
  • Scheduling team shifts
  • Manage fleet trucks (maintenance, cleanliness, registration, permits)
  • Supervise morning huddle, loadout, and equipment checkout
  • Handle daily dispatch duties and closely monitor the progress of delivery teams throughout the day to proactively identify and address any potential problems
  • Manage inventory of tools & equipment
  • Conduct formal & informal employee evaluations, give constructive feedback, and create action plans for improvement.
  • Oversee employee training and engage in daily coaching of all team members in areas such as safety, customer service, delivery & installation techniques, damage control, and other best practices
  • Conduct site visits to ensure crew compliance of safety and best practices
  • Inspect paperwork, photos, and notes for all deliveries to ensure accuracy and process compliance
  • Payroll tracking & reporting
  • Managing annual and monthly budgets
  • Work closely with ownership to improve, implement, and create new systems and processes to increase performance
  • Produce operational reports and track key performance indicators for the team such as product damages, customer complaints, and driver safety scores
  • Assist with setting annual and monthly goals for the organization
  • Whenever necessary, to assist with moves (must be strong and in good physical condition)
  • Attend periodic learning and training events
  • Conduct after-action reports with crew members each day
  • Mitigate business risk through safety training and compliance checks

Qualifications

Desired Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management preferred or equivalent/relevant operations experience.
  • 3 years’ experience managing a service industry operation preferred.
  • Personnel management, customer service, logistics, and operations/systems management.

Skills Required:

  • Must have outstanding leadership abilities and experience managing teams under challenging conditions.
  • Strong customer service skills and necessary tools to handle difficult customer concerns.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively communicate through all mediums.
  • Must be extremely reliable, punctual and detail oriented.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve under challenging circumstances.
  • Must have a strong track record of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Must be excellent at prioritization and task management.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work positively/effectively with people at all levels.
  • Experience with basic power tools preferred.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and various other technology platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
