Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Asheville, NC

Job Summary:

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crane Department Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our Asheville crane department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all crane operations are executed safely, efficiently, and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the crane department operations, including scheduling, staffing, equipment, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and ANSI standards.
• Implement and maintain safety programs and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all crane operations and ensure that they are followed.
• Conduct regular inspections of all crane equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and safely.
• Ensure that all crane operators are properly trained and certified.
• Ensure that all crane operations are executed efficiently and effectively to maximize productivity and profitability.
• Maintain accurate records of all crane operations, including job progress, equipment utilization, and maintenance records.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Identify areas for improvement in the crane department operations and implement solutions to address them.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in crane operations management, preferably in heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and ANSI safety standards and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in the use of computer software, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and other elevated structures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Pay: $37,630.60 - $118,385.24 per year
