We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager to join us at our New Super Hub Barnsley. We’re always on the lookout for top talent to join our growing business. In fact, we never stand still, we work hard, make quick decisions and deliver to our ambitious goals every day.

To support our operation and manage your site fully, We are looking for someone who is flexible and potentially work weekends as needed. But more importantly you must be able to make operational and strategic decisions at pace and have the self-belief to commit to a plan of action.

You will support the Hub Manager by taking full responsibility of the operational elements of the site and all the functions/processes that fall under this. Ensuring the delivery of a safe, legally compliant and cost-efficient environment performing to all Service Level Agreements. You will follow all recognised hub systems and processes, manage and lead staff, maintain and develop external customer relationships and deliver a professional service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the appropriate level of resource is assigned to each function to cover all shifts across the working week.
  • Responsible and accountable for the performance of the Inbound, Outbound, Manual and International processes.
  • Responsible for overall shift performance, compliance, client service levels, health and safety, employee engagement.
  • Accountable for sending detailed shift reports, root causing failed KPI’s supported evidence and an action plan to improve.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, be data driven and use data to influence, challenge and drive performance and compliance.
  • Accountable for shift costs and able to demonstrate strong cost leadership.
  • Carrying out regular individual 121’s, performance reviews and team meetings with team.
  • Promoting and driving consistency to ensure the delivery of excellent operational standards.
  • Lead by example in creating a high-performance people orientated culture within the function that thinks inside the box.

To Be Successful You Will Require:

  • Excellent Maths and English skills written and verbal
  • Microsoft office competent
  • Full current driving licence
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of operational processes and practices
  • Experienced and proven knowledge of managing a PL budget
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience of leading a high performing team
  • Motivational Leader
