Key Outcomes

Effectively lead and deliver excellence in operations by establishing standardized clearly visible metrics for all key deliverables, drive efficiency improvements through disciplined execution of defined initiatives and build a culture that is centered on our core values and brings out the best attributes in our employees. This position has also has the potential to lead our other division in Lakewood, NJ.

Organizational Development

  • Lead the Lakewood (CET Films) operations team to achieve ‘meets or exceeds’ scorecard/ performance rating for all goals and full participation with Weekly10.
  • Hire and/or develop top performers that give their best and are accountable to delivering results as detailed in the annual operating plan.
  • Interface effectively with all cross functional areas to maximize success and increase operational expertise across the entire organization (Commercial, Finance, HR, Purchasing, Prod Dev).

Operations Excellence

  • Assume full ownership and accountability for all aspects of the site.
  • Effectively manage and be accountable for the site’s annual operational targets for safety, housekeeping, quality, service, quality, scrap, and manufacturing expense.
  • Develop and communicate clear metrics for Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, Scrap and Housekeeping.
  • Make metrics and initiatives clearly visible through developing informational tools that assist in gaining understanding and awareness throughout the organization.
  • Administer, communicate, and support our annual Safety, Wellness, and Recognition programs and establish and communicate by Jan 1 of each year.
  • With Finance support, establish and execute an annual operating budget driving annual improvement in efficiency, scrap, and operating costs.
  • Work with Finance to create an annual Working Capital target and improvement plan that delivers efficiency gains.
  • Enhance our communication efforts by consistently conducting monthly plant communication meetings and support efforts to develop methods to enhance our communication effectiveness, as measured by our annual employee survey feedback.
  • Support the implementation of One Nekoosa, delivering sustainable processes in WMS, Hawk point and Shop Floor.

Capital Budget/Project Execution

  • Ensure all site approved capital projects are on time, on budget, and meeting payback expectations.
  • Establish and manage an improvement project pipeline that identifies our productivity and scrap improvement projects by Nov 1 of each year. The pipeline must clearly define the project scope, execution plan, annual savings projection, and timeline to completion.

Maintenance Management

Create and perform within, an annual maintenance budget that reduces downtime per a defined/target and supports operations with a department and equipment that is clean and maintained to a level that promotes pride of ownership.

  • Establish and manage an improvement project pipeline that identifies our productivity and scrap improvement projects by Nov 1 of each year. The pipeline must clearly define the project scope, execution plan, annual savings projection, and timeline to completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3 to 5 years extrusions and/or film converting is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong Mechanical Skills
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and multi-task
  • Computer proficiency
  • Prior systems and continuous improvement experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
