Operations Manager

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.
We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to facilitate and monitor all data acquisition, processing, and analytics for our company. You will ensure that the company can consistently deliver high-quality, actionable information to our partners. The Operations Manager will analyze the performance of individual departments in order to provide recommendations for continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
You will report to the company President.
Responsibilities
- Manage a factory and regional office with 30+ employees through the Materials, Production and Quality managers
- Lead and manage the implementation of an ERP system, providing support and training to team members as needed
- Manage a full-cycle production team to implement our strategic programs
- Prepare annual forecasting of resource needs in partnership with HR and the President
- Develop ongoing resourcing plans to meet plant production targets
- Work with the President to develop a multi-year strategy and plans for Operations projects (e.g. rolling out enterprise resource planning software, leading lean manufacturing improvements, career pathing)
- Be a liaison with other operations teams to support knowledge sharing and coordination across teams doing similar work
- Be a member of company senior leadership team, collaborating on production with the planning and supply chain departments, and developing policies to ensure quality and consistency across the production lines
- Manage budgets and forecasts, and examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Perform quality controls and monitor production goals and metrics
- Partner with HR to train staff, and invest in retention and building our long-term human capital
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in hands-on operational roles in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience in leadership roles responsible for leading operations management/professional level people
- 5+ years of experience leading/coaching process improvement implementation
- Bachelor's degree in applied science, manufacturing, engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Experience establishing a reporting hierarchy and managing other managers across a growing team
- Experience defining, reporting on and speaking to weekly and monthly production performance and financial metrics
- Experience working with, informing and bridging gaps between departments (Engineering, Human Resources, Planning, Supply Chain)
- Willing to share and receive important criticism and direction directly, openly and honestly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
