ISO New England's Operational Performance, Training & Integration (OPTI) group is a highly responsive and flexible team, responsible for collaborating with internal and external entities to provide a full spectrum of support for the dynamic needs of the System Operations environment. The OPTI group is integral to the development of training, software, processes and procedures that ISO System Operators use to effectively manage and operate the bulk electric system. Also, through analysis of system performance during normal and abnormal conditions, the OPTI group develops recommendations for process, software, and human performance improvement.

The OPTI group is seeking a unique individual to support the operations training staff. This individual is a demonstrated fast learner, highly motivated, is detail oriented, and can multi-task in order to support the operations training staff in the various roles required of this position.

This position is primarily located in Windsor, CT.

How you will make an impact
Training program administration
  • Maintains and updates training records
  • Prepares training committee materials
  • Compiles and summarizes management and learner feedback
  • Maintains and updates training schedules
Training development support
  • Assists with authoring WBT content
  • Assists with training material preparation for Instructor Led Training
Human Performance Improvement
  • Condition Reporting administration –submittal, routing, and tracking condition reports
  • Communicate status of condition reports
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in a learning area (e.g., instructional design, education), or related field or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience supporting development of instructional materials for instructor led training and computer based training
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline, Camtasia and other E-learning software applications
  • Experience with organizational development and management of projects and priorities
  • Proven process and procedural change management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills
