Looking to work in a more Authentic environment? We are now looking for an Operative to join the team for Street Lighting projects in the West Berkshire area.

The successful candidate will provide support for electrical installations, repairs, planned maintenance and new installations.

Key Accountabilities

• Assisting with the installation of signs/columns, bollards and associated equipment.
• 24 hour Emergency Response/Out of Hours Standby.
• Assisting with the installation of any new build works.
• Carry out works as instructed by the Site Supervisor in a safe manner, within the scope if relevant duties.
• Electrical inspection and testing including periodic testing.
• Fault diagnosis and repair.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard, with vehicle defect sheet completed correctly.

Key Skills & Experience

• Previous Street Lighting Installations experience.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Must demonstrate good awareness of site and Company rules.
• Be aware and comply with VolkerHighways Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies.
• Must Hold Current HGV Class 2 and Drivers CPC.
• Also a HIAB with Hook attachment.
• NRSWA would be an advantage.
