Ophthalmic Technician
*Job Pay Commensurate to Experience

$$800.00 SIGNING BONUS FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE!!!

PLEASANT, OPHTHALMOLOGY/OPTOMETRY PRACTICE IN MANHEIM TOWNSHIP IS SEEKING A CARING AND RESPONSIBLE OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN TO JOIN OUR CAPABLE TEAM. 32 HOURS/WK.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Collect patient medical history, including chief complaint. Update medications,
allergies, general health systems, etc. Enter all information in EMR software.

-Screen patients, perform accurate documentation and measurements for visual acuity, lensometry, visual fields, A-scans, fundus photography, OCTs, etc. Instruct patients about pre-op and post-op care for all surgeries.

-Answer patient phone calls and triage emergencies. Follow up on pharmacy
prescription requests and prior authorizations.

-Maintain office requirements of sterile technique and infection control, including
Covid 19· Troubleshoot equipment problems-call for service if necessary.

-Assist in other office duties, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Regular and predictable attendance is REQUIRED.
Trustworthiness is REQUIRED.
Accountability is a MUST
Working well with others is a MUST

2+ years Ophthalmic Technician experience required Experience using electronic medical records software required. Pay is commensurate with experience.
