Full Job Description

Spinak Medical Eye Center is a busy Ophthalmology Practice with two locations in Rockland County, Pearl River and Stony Point. Our board certified Ophthalmologists and Optometrist provide a wide range of services including routine and comprehensive eye exams, contact lenses, minor procedures, Laser Vision Correction, cataract surgery, cosmetic surgery and more! We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Ophthalmic Technician with a strong work ethic to enhance our team. Applicants must be flexible, dependable, compassionate, team-oriented and comfortable in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Patient works ups: obtain personal and family histories, update medication lists, obtain chief complaints, Visual Acuity, Auto-Refractions, Manual Refractions.
• Testing: Macula OCT, Nerve OCT, A Scan, B Scan, IOL Master, Tonometry, Pachymetry, Corneal Topography, Wavefront Scans, fundus photos, external photos, Endo Cell Count, Tear Lab, Lipiscan.
• Medications: E-Prescribing, Prior Authorizations, administration of drops for dilation, numbing, pre-procedure.
• Additional responsibilities: Maintaining inventory, exam rooms and supplies, sterilizing equipment, scribing, assist in minor and laser procedures, thorough clinical documentation of patient records including EMR, obtain patient consent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
