Overview:

The Service Technician will report to North America Service Manager. This position is responsible for the service and repairs of products, performs quality control and provides technical customer service for ENG, EFP, CINE, CCTV, Projector and all accessories. This position also assists with training service staff on new products and techniques. Perform other duties as assigned and requested by his/her Manager and/or Management.


This position is on-site, based out of our Edison, New Jersey facility.


FUJIFILM North America Corporation consists of five divisions including Imaging, Electronic Imaging, Graphic Systems, Optical Devices, and Industrial Products and Corporate New Business Development. These companies market a broad range of consumer and commercial products in North America and Latin America. The Imaging Division (ID) provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services. The Electronic Imaging Division (EID) markets consumer digital cameras; the Graphic Systems Division (GSD) supplies products and services to the graphic printing industry; the Optical Devices Division (OD) provides optical lenses for broadcast, cinematography, closed circuit television and binoculars. The Industrial Products Division (IPD) supplies cutting edge digital imaging and conventional film, chemistry and equipment to the NDT industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to sales force network.
  • Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained to achieve division sales plan.
  • Diagnose customer’s complaints regarding products in electrical, mechanical and optical.
  • Estimate parts and labor required to achieve factory specs for lens.
  • Disassemble, clean, re-lube and realign mechanical, optical and electrical functions.
  • Reduce repair turn-around time.
  • Perform quality control for repaired lenses.
  • Perform quality control for sales lenses product.
  • Perform modification of products to accommodate delivery and/or customer.
  • Provide technical support by telephone.
  • Provide technical support to field service staff & perform field service.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment; adhere to all safety policies & procedure.
  • Perform any other jobs/functions as requested by Manager and/or Management.


Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in engineering or related quantitative disciplines,

plus 3 + years’ work experience in a fast paced and highly competitive technical and service environment.


  • Experienced service technician who knows the product lines.
  • Highly focused and results-oriented; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment, self- starter.
  • Possess exceptional communication/interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Effective Time Management skills.


Desired Skills

  • Ability to research and analyze various different types of data information and make sound business judgments.
  • Ability to prioritize work.

Extensive hands on experience in the areas of technical service and training in the broadcast and communications products field.
