Job description
South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family; we bottle our own milk and make our own butter (and ice cream!). We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 20 years and counting! We are currently hiring for an Order Selector - Produce.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Reading order sheets
- Pull items from shelves based on customer tickets
- Ensure order accuracy
- Assist in metric tracking
- Learn and work on both order selecting teams
- Pack boxes quickly and with caution – about 50 boxes per hour
- Stage items for the delivery team
- Other duties as assigned
The right person will come in with a sense of responsibility, is a team player and is able to select product in a safe and efficient manner.
This position will be cross trained to perform other functions and works in varying temperature zones (freezer to warehouse environments). The incumbent must be able to lift 30-40lbs intermittently, work in a fast paced environments, and be able to stand for extended periods of time.
This position will work Monday - Thursday 6:30am – 3:30pm*
*shift may require some flexibility in end/start times
